_ 20,000 of South Korea's children live in institutions and foster care. The United States has over 400,000 in its foster care system. The good news? God is moving through His people to defend and serve these children. The Church is awakening to something that has resonated with God's heart since the Fall: caring for orphans.
The Hope for Orphans Institute was created to equip the Church as it serves orphans. We believe that God is particularly stirring South Korean and Korean-American churches to become powerful defenders of the fatherless.
On May 1st, Hope for Orphans, Saddleback Church and The PEACE Plan are hosting the Hope for Orphans Institute, the first-of-its-kind orphan care event to be focused on South Korean and Korean-American churches. Featured speakers include Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church and director of the PEACE Plan initiative; Eddie Byun, Lead Pastor at Onnuri English Ministry in Seoul; Paul Pennington, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Hope for Orphans, Jim Bob Park, Pastor at Oriental Mission Church in Los Angeles; Steve Morrison, Executive Director of MPAK and many others.
Join leaders from South Korea and the United States, as together we seek practical steps to serve orphans across the world.
